Who runs Sift
Sift is a small software project operated by Kyle Rowley. Using the site or the app means you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Sift.
What Sift does
Sift takes a spreadsheet you upload, models and validates it, and delivers the clean rows to a destination you choose: an accounting system, a CRM such as Attio, or a Postgres table you own. You are responsible for the files you upload and for having the right to use the data in them.
Connected accounts
When you connect a third-party service such as Attio, QuickBooks, or Xero, you authorise Sift to act on your behalf for the imports you start. Sift stores an encrypted access token scoped to that one workspace and uses it only to read the schema you are importing into and to create or update the records you import. Sift does not delete your records. You can disconnect at any time from settings, which removes the stored token. Your use of each connected service is also governed by that service's own terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use Sift to import data you are not allowed to process, to break the law, or to disrupt the service or the systems it connects to. We may suspend access that puts the service or other people at risk.
Availability and changes
Sift is offered as-is and as-available. Features may change and the service may be unavailable at times. We may update these terms; when we do, we will change the date above.
No warranty
Sift is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that imports will be error-free or that the service will always be available. You are responsible for reviewing the results of an import before you rely on them.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sift and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including lost data or lost profits.
